South prom is taking place on Saturday, May 17th, and students are going shopping to find their attire. The prom themes for this year are “Willy Wonka,” “Harry Potter,” and “Wizard of Oz” – allowing a variety of dresses to fit the theme. 

Senior Serat Gill said, “[she] got a navy blue dress from Zapaka. [She] chose the website because [she] saw a lot of TikToks saying it was good quality and it was cute.” Gill stated that she wanted a long, fancy dress since this is her first prom.

Senior Abby Arthur’s dark blue, shimmery, open back dress is from Francesca’s in Florida’s Miromar Outlet. 

Senior Anna Barnes said, “[she] got [her] dress from Windsor at Greenwood Park Mall, and [she] was on the phone with a friend when [she] saw it, and [she] gasped, knowing it was the right one.”

Junior Kirin Bowden’s dress is from X.O. by Sophia’s. She chose it because the color stood out to her, and she liked the fit.

Senior Allie Dodds’ dress is from Windsor. She said that it made her skin look tanner and complimented her body.

Junior Ruby Lowe’s prom dress is from Stacee’s. She bought it because the style is exactly what she was looking for, and “the sparkles really sealed the deal.”
