Some confusion has arisen surrounding the lunch detention slips that some students have been receiving recently.
Some students have been forgetting to sign up for Panther Plus, leaving them signed up for Silent Reading in the auditorium. This creates multiple problems: either too many students are signed up to be in the auditorium, or students don’t show up and go to other classes without getting cleared first. Not going to their assigned Panther Plus will leave students with a truancy. If they rack up two truancies, that’ll lead to a lunch detention.
As of now, about 30 students have hit that two-truancy mark. So, to avoid any future lunch detentions, Assistant Principal Joe Doyle said these are reminders more than anything, so sign up for Panther Plus!
