It’s college application season and that means college-bound seniors are on the hunt for scholarships. Indiana’s biggest scholarship is the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship, which grants the winners full tuition, required fees, and book stipend to the Indiana public or private university of their choice.
The application for the 2026 Monroe County Lilly Scholarship closed on August 18th, and the list of the semifinalists is finally out.
Bloomington South’s very own Rebekah Arnold, Alexander Busch, Ashton Crosley, Hazel Hammerstein, Lucinda Miksza, Marcella Miles, and Alice Racek, were among the 20 students who advanced to the next round, but only two can win.
The semifinalists must answer a few additional questions and submit letters of recommendation in order to have a chance to become a finalist, according to the Community Foundation website.
