The Ninth District Young People’s Candidate Forum will be held this Wednesday, April 4 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the BHSS library. All candidates for Indiana’s congress have been invited. Dan Canon, Rob Chatlos and Liz Watson are the current forerunners for the Democratic nominee, and their attendance has been confirmed. Trey Hollingsworth (the current representative and Republican incumbent) and Republican candidate James Dean Alspach have also been invited.
The forum will be focused on issues that young people in the ninth district face, and any student can submit questions here in the Young Democrats google form. There will be time set aside for audience questions as well.
Fellow South students will be available to aid anyone wanting to register to vote. There will also be baked goods available to purchase in support of the BHSS Young Democrats club.
