Coming to South in September, the program School Smiles will offer dental care for both insured and uninsured students. For anyone who would like the services, x-rays, comprehensive exams, fluoride treatment and sealants, and crowns are just some of the treatments available. Registration is available online at www.schoolsmiles.com/student-signup. A registration form can also be turned in to either Brandy Rayles, the Travel RN for MCCSC, in the nurse’s office or to SRT teachers.
School Smiles will visit BHSS two times this year, the day of the second visit to be announced at a later date. Families who sign up will be notified of individual appointment times. A fee of $49 must be paid before the student is seen, but there is a grant option available on a first come, first serve basis.
