September 30, 2022, 17-year-old BHSS senior Joey Henderson suffered several injuries as a result of a multi-vehicle accident at May’s Greenhouse, including but not limited to a broken back, a collapsed lung, and kidney and liver damage; additionally, his spleen had to be completely removed.
Henderson has had several surgeries and will need several more. His parents are currently living at the hospital in Indianapolis, causing them both to miss work. As well as a card created by the school that will be sent up to Henderson as he recovers, a GoFundMe was started to support the family so they can focus on Henderson’s recovery.
Along with the GoFundMe, several clubs at South are currently working on raising additional money to help the family, including gift cards and food vouchers. Any help is greatly appreciated.
