Students Deck the Halls With Dr. Rakic

Students+Deck+the+Halls+With+Dr.+Rakic

Do you want Dr. Rakic hanging on your Christmas tree? Juniors Anson Reynolds and Anna Yeley are ringing in the holidays by selling Bogden Rakic ornaments. These homemade ornaments are selling for $5 to support The Christmas Angel Tree Program. The Angel Tree program is a national foundation providing Christmas gifts for local children.

Three items are available for purchase, a Rakic headshot, full-body, or a smaller version to put on a keychain, all of which feature him in a Santa hat. When asked why they chose Rakic, Anna Yeley said, “We love him; he’s the best.” However, Rakic has a different opinion, “They are not particularly ornamental. Maybe my students just obviously wanted to hang me on their tree.”

The first batch of ornaments sold out almost immediately, however, they are restocked and have more to sell. Contact Anna Yeley on Instagram at @anna.yeley or Anson Reynolds for more information if you would like to purchase an ornament.
