MCCSC adds more start time scenarios

Allison Neal, Co-editor

The MCCSC school board held a work session last Tuesday to discuss the potential new starting and ending times for MCCSC schools. MCCSC PR and information officer Tim Pritchett presented ten scenarios at the meeting, and has since released four more scenarios for the board to consider. These scenarios have elementary schools starting ast 7:45, 7:50, 7:55 or 8:05 a.m. and middle and high schools at 8:30, 8:35, 8:40 or 8:50 a.m. according to the Herald Times. To view the other scenarios see this page. The board is soliciting community opinions on the scenarios, and has a loose deadline of early 2016 to make their decision.

What do you think? Which of the scenarios do you prefer? What problems do you see (if any) with the current school day? Comment below or offer your opinion to the board here.
