South janitor Jonathan Kingsolver dies over winter break

The Optimist Staff would like to offer its sympathies and condolences towards the friends and family of Jonathon Kingsolver. Kingsolver was a member of the janitorial staff who died over winter break on December 30th.

Kingsolver was born in Kokomo, Indiana and graduated Tri-Central High School in Sharpsville in 2015. After graduating and moving to Bloomington he worked at Cook Medical and Kroger before coming to MCCSC. Kingsolver was 27 year old; his friends describe him as someone who always looked to make others smile. He was someone who always looked up to his sister Amiyah, who meant the world to him. Kingsolver was a bright soul who enjoyed the outdoors, laughing, tractor shows and antique cars. He was truly someone who wanted the best for others.

“He was someone who was always there for anyone, always making people laugh. He’d change your day with just a few words” said Bo Patton, fellow South staff member and best friend of Kingsolver.
