After starting this week off with three extra days at home, South has decided to extend the second trimester. Finals will now be during the week of February 16th, and the third trimester will start the following week. This does not mean that the school year will be extended a week; it just gives teachers more time to adjust their schedules for the third trimester rather than rushing to reconfigure the end of the second.
This change is only being made at South, as it is the only MCCSC school that has trimesters; however, all MCCSC schools will now have a school day on President’s Day, February 16th, which was originally a built-in snow day.
