Emily Ehman and Kennedy Surface (pictured here in purple) prepare to return a serve. This spring, the girls signed to Northwestern and Franklin College, respectively. Surface says she hadn’t originally planned to continue her volleyball career in college, but knew halfway through her senior year that she “wasn’t done, and wanted to keep playing and making friends” through the sport.
