Fake news event

If you are interested in journalism or just in truth, you may want to check out an upcoming event at Indiana University.

On Thursday, Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. there will be a panel discussion in IU’s Franklin Hall about fake news. The panel is called “Fake or Fact? The Search for Real News” and it will be moderated by Elaine Monaghan and Tom French, two Media School professors.

Featured panelists of the event include Fil Menczer, a professor in the IU School of Informatics; Caryn Baird, a researcher for Politifact and the Tampa Bay Times; and Roger Cohen, an  IU Poynter Center chair and columnist for The New York Times.
