South’s girls’ golf team has been hard at work the past few weeks as they’ve competed at several invitationals. The starting five this year consists of Caroline Conrad, Bailey Duncan, Madeleine Stanik, Carlie Williams, and Lauren Connor. So far, South has finished 5th at Bedford and Vincennes, 6th at Washington, and 16th at the Bloomington Country Club.
Madeleine Stanik is a junior at South and finished with a score of 91 at the Vincennes Rivet Invitational this past weekend.
“This season is going well with scores dropping at every tournament. Everyone is working hard and enjoying the wonderful game of golf,” Stanik said.
The team is back in action Wednesday, August 30th, as they compete against Bloomington North.
