Throughout the school day, many athletes have weights class. In the class, athletes partake in strength training, mobility, and various cardio exercises. Weights is instructed by a teacher (normally a coach of a sports team) and also a physical trainer, who is experienced in training athletes. Many athletes find that weights helps them to build strength, and in return, improve their athletic abilities. Some students who are looking to join the military after high school also choose to take weights in order to get stronger before they go to training.
