Local organization gives books to prisoners

Local+organization+gives+books+to+prisoners

There were many volunteer opportunities today, one of them being with local organization Pages to Prisoners. Pages to Prisoners is an organization that gives people who are experiencing incarceration reading materials. It has been around for about fifteen years and is stationed in Boxcar Books.

Today, due to MLK day, Pages to Prisoners was hosting a Pack-a-thon, which is an “emphasized day to get more packages filled” said volunteer and junior at IU Mars Johnson. Johnson has been volunteering on and off for three years with the organization.

If you are interested in getting involved with Pages to Prisoners, check out their website at this link: http://pagestoprisoners.org/
