South’s dance team competed last Saturday at Kokomo High School’s dance invitational for the second competition of the season, walking out with a notable number of trophies and gold medals.

In the end, the team came out with two first-place wins in the small ensemble and jazz categories, and three second-place wins in pom, hip-hop and junior solo.

The dance competition season began for the team on the first weekend of December, with an invitational at Avon High School.

If the team qualifies for state finals, the season will continue until March. If not, it will end in late February.
